How I prepare my rice:

I have never cooked rice on the stove top. I use a clay pot with a lid. Put 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt in the pot. Set the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and leave the pot in the oven for an hour. Done!

If you don’t have a clay pot, you can follow these eay steps:

Put 1 cup brown rice, 2 cups water and a pinch of salt in a saucepan with lid.
When water starts to boil, turn heat down to a simmer, and cover. Simmer for 30 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed and there is no water standing at the bottom of the pan.
Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 5-10 minutes.
